Facebook has been verifying the identity of page managers. Now the social media platform will also verify the individual account. This confirmation will only apply to accounts whose behavior is highly suspicious and whose posts go viral at once. This feature is only being offered in the United States. This will allow Facebook to determine if an account is part of a propaganda campaign.
Facebook Restrict Account
Facebook will restrict access to viral posts if a user's identity does not match the linked account. Facebook will also prevent such people from posting on the pages. Such users will be able to post on their pages only after verification according to the existing procedure. Facebook says that the IDs of the people who will be identified will be kept safe and will not be shared on people's profiles.
