Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G
Xiaomi says it also raised the bar again in terms of power,
camera quality, and charging speed

The new Redmi Note 11 Pro + 5G has just been launched in
India, the price starts at Rs. 20,999 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Other options are 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage for Rs. 22,999, and 8GB of
RAM with 256GB of storage for Rs. 24,999. This marks a significant change in
the series we often think of as offering a substantial amount of less than Rs.
20,000. There is also the Redmi Note 11 Pro, which costs Rs. 17,999 and Rs.
19,999 6GB or 8GB of RAM respectively. Both variants have 128GB of storage.
Last year, the only difference between the Redmi Note 10 Pro
and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max (Update) was the best main rear camera. In this
case, the new Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro + 5G have different
processors, different network support, and slightly different camera settings -
though not as you might expect. Keep learning all you need to know.
Xiaomi now has a large portfolio of products in India, but
the annual upgrade of the Redmi Note Pro series often reminds us of how the
company got started - with smartphones offering better information than anyone
expected at a price. The Redmi and Redmi Note series have helped strengthen
Xiaomi's position in India, targeting a generation of emerging consumers and
aspiring aspirants respectively. Now, as prices rise throughout the industry,
we have entered the top brackets of the market. Let’s see if there is still a
good price, and whether fans will still be able to get what they want.
At first glance, the Redmi Note 11 Pro + 5G looks clear and simple.
A good body is a rectangle with rounded corners and flat sides. The
pre-recorded ‘Evol’ design was followed by the ‘Evol Pro’, but everything was
made so smooth that nothing stood out about this phone. We had a similar idea
with the recently launched Redmi Note 11S (Review). The front face is all
black, and a shiny silver ring around the front camera is the only way you can
tell which end is higher and which is lower when this phone is lying flat
anywhere. However, like last year's models, I find it very disturbing.

Browse this phone and you will see where the design splendor
comes in. The My Mirage Blue unit has an interesting diagonal pattern that
looks like waves on the surface of a swimming pool when you tilt this phone
under light. I actually found it difficult to focus my eyes on the pattern,
which is somehow used under the very bright back panel. It really stands out,
and in my short time with this phone, I was amazed to see the background not
easily catching smudges. The other two options are Phantom White and Stealth
Black, both with a light, snowy texture.
The camera module in the upper left corner comes out
slightly, in a two-step design that makes the first 108-megapixel camera look
very bright. The power button on the right has a built-in fingerprint sensor
although it is very small, and the volume buttons are above it. There are
headphone grills on the top, as well as a 3.5mm audio socket and Xiaomi's IR
emitter brand. Below, you'll find a main speaker, a USB Type-C port, and a hybrid
dual-SIM tray.
Weighing in at 202g, the Redmi Note 11 Pro + weighs less
than average. And it is not too comfortable to hold and use with one hand,
because of its flat, boxy shape. The body is said to have nano-coating that is
resistant to spraying, and the SIM tray has a rubber cap that helps prevent
water from entering. The protective film will stick to the front.
Inside, Xiaomi comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC
relatively powerful and supports seven 5G bands. You get 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4XRAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS2.2 storage, which means you probably won't need
to add a microSD card and sacrifice a second SIM. You get 5000mAh battery and
67W fast charging, with the required charger and cable in the box. Xiaomi
promises "full day payment" in 15 minutes.
The 6.67 inch Super AMOLED panel has full HD + (1080x2400
pixel) resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. Xiaomi has used the
Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on display. Xiaomi wants 1200nit high brightness but
nothing is said about HDR. You get stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi ac,
GPS, and standard sensors.
At the back, there is a 108-megapixel main camera with
Samsung HM2 sensor and f / 1.9 aperture and a 6P lens, compatible with the
specification of the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. The phone also has an 8-megapixel f
/ 2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The front camera
has 16-megapixel resolution and f / 2.45 aperture.
Interestingly, the less expensive Redmi Note 11 Pro uses
MediaTek's G96 SoC, and as its name suggests, it does not support 5G. That is
Xiaomi's bold move in this segment, especially as 5G networks may eventually
become available to end users in India later this year. Low-cost siblings have
the same display, battery, and charging features - the same size and weight.
Although it has the same front and rear cameras as the Redmi Note 11 Pro +, it
actually has an extra 2-megapixel depth sensor. This is strange and we are
looking forward to testing the image strength of both phones. The Redmi Note 11
Pro + is also available with up to 256GB of storage while the Pro comes out at
128GB. Instead of the Mirage Blue finish, there is a Star Blue option with a
gradient finish.
