The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 |
Introduce
Samsung has officially introduced the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 after a long wait. The hardware, battery and features in the Note 9 are much better than last year.
Samsung hasn't changed much in the design of the Galaxy Note 9. The device also has glass on both sides. It's hard to tell the difference between the Note 8 and the Note 9 at first glance.
Design
However, a closer look reveals that both the rear camera, sensor and fingerprint reader in the Note 8 were in the same module while the fingerprint reader in the Note 9 is below the module and its size has also been reduced.
The Note 9 is IP68 certified to protect against water and dust. It has a 3.5mm jack for audio.
Display
The Galaxy Note 9 has Coring Gorilla Glass 5 for protection on the 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display.
The Note 9's display looks brighter and better when used lightly or outdoors. The Note 9's display has a Quad HD Plus resolution (2960 x 1440 pixels) and a density of 514 ppi.
Performance
This device is much better in performance than the Note 8, which is due to the improvement in its hardware.
The Note 9 has been introduced in some countries with Samsung's Exynos 9810 processor and in some countries with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 processor.
The Note 9 will have 6GB or 8GB of RAM. It has also improved significantly in terms of storage. It is not even offered in 64 GB internal storage. Its internal storage options start at 128 GB and go up to 512 GB. Despite having so many great storage options, it has a memory card slot to expand storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB.
Camera
The back of the phone has two 12 + 12 megapixel cameras. One of these cameras has a variable aperture of f / 1.5 and f / 2.4 and the other has a fixed aperture of f / 2.4. These are similar to the Galaxy S9 Plus. Like the S9 Plus, this device also allows you to switch between two apertures according to the shooting environment. The Note 9 also has a 960 fps superslow. Like last year, the Note 9 has an 8-megapixel selfie camera this year.
Better S Pen
Samsung made improvement in s pen . This is by far the most functional S Pen. It also has a capacitor, which is charged for 30 seconds, after which its click feature can be used for 40 minutes. If not charged, it can be used as a regular S Pen.
S Pen can detect short press, long press and double press and perform various functions accordingly.
Can be used to switch the camera shutter from the short press and the front and back camera from the double press. It can also be connected to DeX.
The S Pen supports Bluetooth LE, which is useful in a range of 10 meters. The S Pen is IP68 certified like the phone.
Samsung has also released SDK for third party app developers. Developers may soon add new functions to apps related to S Pen.
Tech Snap in SnapChat and Play or Pause feature in YouTube still work with it.
Samsung DEX
Last year, Samsung introduced the dock to connect the phone to the display. With the help of keyboard and mouse, it turned your phone into full PC mode.
This year, Samsung has removed the single HDMI connector to make it easier to use.
You can use it to control PowerPoint presentations with S-Pan. You can use your phone to send text messages and apps while still connected. It will also work with the new Dex Tab S4 (2018).
Battery
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has a 4000 mAh battery that can run the device for a long time. For charging, it also has wireless charging support with Adaptive Fast Charge technology.
Price and availability
The 128GB storage version of the Note 9 is priced at 9 999 and the 512GB storage version is priced at 12 1250. Phone pre-orders will start tomorrow and delivery will begin on August 24.
